Stalked Scarlet Cup, Sarcoscypha occidentalis. I find these frequently in the spring time. Despite their small size (rarely more than 2 cm wide), they are quite conspicuous. The one in the second image was placed on a branch to show the stalk, which typically is hard to see unless you dig around the mushroom.
